Avitrol Plus - Wormer Tablets for Birds

Avitrol Plus wormer is an effective de-worming treatment for pigeons and caged birds. The oral treatment treats and prevents a large variety of worms including threadworm (Capillaria spp.), caecal worm (Heterakis spp.), roundworm (Ascaridia spp.), gape worm (Syngamus spp.) gizzard worm (Acuaria spp.) and tapeworm (Raillietina spp.) in ornamental birds. For complete protection from recurring infestation, all the birds in the same loft or cage should be treated.

The loft or cage should be cleaned and disinfected with Vetafarm Avicare RTU three days after treatment.

Directions:

Administer orally directly into the throat.

Dosage:

• 250 to500g bodyweight: ½ tablet

• 500 to 750g bodyweight: 1 tablet

• 750g to 1kg bodyweight: 1½ tablets

Safety:

• To reduce the likelihood of vomiting, do not handle birds for at least ten minutes after treatment

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Store in a cool and dry place.

Contraindications:

• Do not use it the hot weather.

• Do not give to Gouldian Finches.

• Treating birds under stress or birds actively feeding young, is contraindicated.

• Parrots and finches are less tolerant to levamisole than pigeons, treat with caution.
